Summary:The YFeO3 and Y0.8Sr0.2FeO3 nanocrystals with an average particle size < 30 nm have been prepared by the co-precipitation method in aqueous solution of sodium carbonate containing the Y3+, Sr2+ and Fe3+ ions. Magnetization and coercive force of the doped ferrite Y0.8Sr0.2FeO3 were higher than of the pure YFeO3, such characteristics could be a result of presence of Sr2+ ions increasing anisotropy of magnetic crystals.
