| Summary: | Online publication in open access journal is crucial for countries like Mali as it offers unlimited access to scientific publications. However, the adoption and use of these open access journals by researchers in developing countries remains a matter of concern. It is for that reason that this study was conducted in order to propose an adoption model of these tools by collecting data from 66 Malian researchers. The Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was used to assess and validate the model. We proposed an adoption model that accounted for 67.10% of the intention to adopt online open access journals. In addition to that, an ordinal regression reveals that there is a correlation between Publishing in open access journals online and the languages of study. A limitation of this study is the number of teacher-researchers who participated in the study. We recommend that a study be conducted with more participants to validate this model that we proposed.
