Description
Summary:Initial teacher training has been a recurring theme in educational research in the past five decades. Among the problems raised are: low levels of training in critical and self-reflexive capacity; orthodox research processes; low levels in reading and writing skills; nonexistence of a research culture. Therefore, in the investigative process carried out, the objective of revealing the sense that teachers in formation, belonging to the Superior Normal Schools of Sucre (Colombia), confer to formative research was proposed. The theoretical and methodological approach is established from a position based on hermeneutical phenomenology. The information collection techniques used were: the in-depth interview and participant observation. The information processing was approached from the Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), complemented with the reflective methods to see the meaning of the texts. Six issues emerged from the data analysis. For the present article, some results found in one of these topics in particular will be announced: "Investigative: the eidos of formative research". Among the conclusions of the study, the unique construction that was abstracted from the senses granted by teachers in training, on the social construct called “formative research” is highlighted.
