In order to get satisfying solutions, it is needed that the structure of the preferences among stakeholders be sufficiently known and defined. In this paper, the choice modelling approach is used to assess the importance of conflicting rival objectives, referring as a case study to the coastal protected area along the Tyrrhenian coast of Italy named “Salina di Tarquinia”.
