Description
Summary:The introduction of modern information and communication technologies into the educational process is one of the priority directions enabling the modernization of the system of teaching staff training in Ukraine. It induces pedagogical and science workers to use modern visualization technologies in order to present educational material in an interesting and accessible form. The use of modern visualization technologies is very effective in Linear Algebra teaching, especially in the process of presenting new material. It is noted that it is due to the necessity to display drawings, graphs, formulas, etc., which would otherwise take a lot of time to be displayed on the board; the reduction of class hours allotted for the same amount of study material; the need to display dynamic or spatial models, etc. The terms such as «mind map», «meme», «time line», «tag cloud» are described in the article. The expediency of using mind maps during Linear Algebra classes is highlighted; the conditions under which mind maps can be considered as an alternative way for students to take lecture notes are analyzed in the article. It is noted that the use of mind maps in classes on Linear Algebra contributes to the rapid processing of large volumes of information, convenient memorization of the main terms, concepts, formulas, development of associative thinking, presentation of materials, development of projects and action plans, decision making, etc. The article conveys the principles of creating memes to successfully use them during Linear Algebra classes. The author describes the pros of using timelines due to which application of memes in the educational process has become very popular nowadays. The features of using the cloud of tags at Linear Algebra classes are revealed. It is noted that the intensive introduction of such technologies of visualization of educational material as mind maps, timelines, memes, cloud of tags, etc. contributes to the quality of teaching Linear Algebra in pedagogical universities, better knowledge of students and their increased interest in the subject.
