| Summary: | Purpose. This Article is dedicated to the topic of institutional development of public benefit organizations, which is current in the growing sphere of social support. Methodological approaches to the problem of institutional development of public benefit organizations constitute the subject matter of research. The author aims at disclosing the capabilities of methodological approaches applicable to the analysis of the category of public benefit organizations institutionalization.
Method or methodology. The research framework is composed of general scientific theoretical methods, including typological and system approaches.
Results. The work results consist in the author’s description of the capability of theoretical and methodological approaches to identify the reasons, structural elements, dynamics and social functions of social benefit organizations. The author recognizes lack of comprehensive and detailed conceptualization for the institutionalization of public benefit organizations. Amidst the said approaches, neoinstitutionalizm is dealt with separately as a research methodology enabling to examine the processes for emergence of an institute in the context of a relationship between the formal and informal rules of interaction.
Application scope of results. Results of the research may be applied in the sphere of building the social society and designing the social development.
