| Summary: | <p align="justify">Ministry of National Education is one of the important official organization for native language education of Turkish children living abroad. National Education Council, Board of Education and Discipline, Directorate-General for External Relations, General Directorate for Services for Education Abroad are parts of the Ministry of National Education and there have been some studies and practices for native language education.<br /> This study has been aimed to examine and present above-mentioned study and practices at Ministry of National Education. For this aim, “Project of Our Citizens Living in the Distance” and “National Education Councils” have been included in the scope.<br /> Project of Our Citizens Living in the Distance has being enforced for orientation of Turkish children living abroad with keeping their own culture alive. This Project has been included to;<br /> “Develop Turkish and Turkish Culture Lessons Teaching Program for Children Living Abroad, prepare and distribute lesson books, student books and guide book for teachers axis of this program, giving lecture and information about above-mentioned materials and to teachers working abroad, education consultant. Developing using Turkish language ability correctly, fluently and effectively, build a website for presenting of Turkish culture.”<br /> On the other hand, Council, highest commission at Ministry of National Education, have been entrusted with examining and decisioning about educational activities. Council has been convened 17 times until today. But no one of this convede has been included an agenda item about Turkish children living abroad. 10, 12, 15 and 17th National Educational Council has been included some informations about education of Turkish children living abroad.</p>
