Summary: | Criticism in the 1980s and 1990s to the Theatre of the Oppressed, created by Augusto Boal, features theoretical and methodological problems that seem to compromise its theatricality effect. Although the pedagogical contributions appear as consensus among researchers, elements related to the artistic conception, the characteristics of production and reception dynamics present practical and referential constraints.
