Summary:The tourist subregion of the North Coast of Holguín, and particularly the sector between the Vita and Samá Bays, is one the most important destinations for the development of international tourism in Cuba. This paper presents an analysis of the principal natural and human induced dangers that affect tourist activities in that region, which were described and synthesized using Geographical Information Systems (GiS). The result obtained is a map of general dangers/hazards to which tourism is exposed.
