Summary: | The article analyzes the category of production efficiency of agricultural products, including technical, technological, social, environmental and economic components, and determines the features of its assessment in relation to the development of commodity fish farming. The contribution of technical, technological, organizational and managerial innovations to the development of domestic commercial fish farming has been substantiated, and a method for its quantitative assessment has been proposed. An author’s approach has been developed to determine the level of technical and technological efficiency of commercial fish farming enterprises, implemented by comparing actual and estimated potential production volumes. A methodology for calculating the utilization of the production capacity of a pond farm operating in the specific climatic conditions of the location is proposed. The system of directions for the development of domestic commercial fish farming, which includes the improvement of all stages of production, processing, storage, logistics and sales of products, is justified.
