Summary: | The main intent of the present study was to determine the requirements for developing natural-science curricula in the light of
the strategic aims of Saudi Arabia vision 2030 according to natural-science-teaching specialists, and to set a supposed prospect for development in the light of such requirements. In order to render such a purpose, the researcher employed the descriptive approach to conduct a five-section questionnaire related to components of natural-science curricula (aims, content, teaching strategies, activities and evaluation). The questionnaire contained 105 items related to the requirements for developing natural-science curricula in the light of 2030 vision. The questionnaire was administered to 92 natural-science teaching specialists. Statistical analyses of the available data proved the participants' consensus as per the proposed development requirements. Mean scores of agreement among participants ranged between 4.43 and 4.56. No statistically significant differences were detected in the rate of agreement due variables of gender or employment. Consequently the researcher designed the proposed development prospect including all major components of natural-Science curricula in the backdrop of strategic aims of the 2030 vision. The study recommended the necessity of conducting curricula-development prospects particularly in natural sciences in the light of 2030 vision, benefitting from the present proposal, revising and evaluating it by a committee of specialists in order to make the utmost use of it. |
