The synthesized compounds were identified by spectral data and screened for their antibacterial activity against B. pumilis, B. substilis and E. coli and antifungal activity against A. niger and Candida albicans. Among the synthesized compounds, some compounds of aryl chromen, which are having electron releasing substituent such as methoxy and hydroxyl at various positions, showed moderate to considerable antibacterial and antifungal activities.http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2010/937903
