Bibliometric Study of Scientific Publications on the Contributions of Neuroimaging Techniques in Rett Syndrome

This bibliometric study tried to describe and to analyze the development of the understanding of Rett Syndrome with neuroimaging techniques during the year 1990 to 2011. Thus, there was analyzed the information of Rett Syndrome with two indicators: the productivity indicator and matter analysis indi...

Thus, there was analyzed the information of Rett Syndrome with two indicators: the productivity indicator and matter analysis indicator. The results of productivity indicator indicated a progressive increase in the studied period of time; stand out 6 journals for his major productivity. The distinguished institutions for the major number of papers are Universities and Mixed Institutions. On the other hand, the matter analysis indicator revealed that the most used neuroimaging technique was the Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy in the 90s and in the 2000s. The results express a progressive increase from 1990 to 2011. This increase is paralleled to the increase of interest and relevancy that has taken the neuroscience in the scientific community. However, is observed that in Latin America are limited researches on the Rett Syndrome.http://revistas.unc.edu.ar/index.php/racc/article/view/5178/5343Rett SyndromeFunctional and Anatomical Neuroimaging TechniquesBibliometric Study
