Methods A total of 1085 patients who admitted fever clinic between July 27, 2020 and October 31, 2020 were included as research objects. The potential problems in submission process of specimen for nucleic acid detection were analyzed, and targeted interventions were carried out. Results After implementation of management strategies, there was a trend toward decrease in the duration between specimen collection and report issuing time, as well as patient's duration of stay in the fever clinic. Conclusion It is effective to shorten the duration of stay in the fever clinic by optimizing the submission process of specimen for nucleic acid detection, and it has positive influence on reducing the risk of cross infection and improving the diagnosis efficiency.http://www.zxyjhhl.com.cn/CN/article/downloadArticleFile.do?attachType=PDF&id=8586specimen submissionnursing managementfevernucleic acid detection
