Summary: | This article is a methodological contribution and it reflects my will to share some theoretical premises and practical tools that I have used during the psychological support to migrant asylum seekers and refugees – as a psychologist at Centro Astalli Trento. In what follows, some sociological theories on transnational migration will be introduced in order to situate the phenomenon of migration in the con- temporary world. One section is focused on the methodological approach, in particular the concept of reflexivity will be explored; while a substantial section is focused on the tools, on their analysis and on my comments. The analysis was conducted on the notes that I collected after the implementation of specific tools, which were proposed by me as well as by the users of the service; these tools were: geographical maps, sayings, handmade objects, pictures etc. These instru- ments have allowed me to work through an ethno-clinic approach, they have been negotiated during the psychological interaction, as the reader will see.
