Summary: | Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is a clinical entity characterized seizures, headaches, visual deficits, focal neurological symptoms and various degrees of reduced consciousness. According to literature PRES relating to preeclampsia tends to present better evolution and reversibility but there is limited about the prognosis in pregnancies after in vitro fertilization. We present a 40-year-old thalassemia minor primigravida who developed PRES soon after delivery, who had a history of assisted reproductive method by in vitro fertilization ensuing twin pregnancy. |
