Description
Summary:The text deals with the mural paintings at the end of the northern and southern nave of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary in Olomouc. They are connected with Marian piety and its expression in the rosary. These trends were supported by the mendicant orders and spread through the influence of the Franciscan-Observants. Among the Franciscans of the 15th century was the most popular version the one that was promoted by St Bernardino of Siena and his disciple St Giovanni of Capistrano, who has visited Olomouc in the fifties of the 15th century.
