Description
Summary:The problem of formation and recognition of the Ukrainian Local Orthodox Church (UOCOC) has not been considered by clerics of the Churches or believers only as ecclesiastics since its actualization in Ukraine at the beginning of the twentieth century. The objectivity of such an assessment of the question of propriety is borne out by the experience of becoming autocephalous of other local Orthodox Churches - none of them being able to choose their autocephaly only through the implementation of a particular church program. The reason for this state of affairs is the fact that the procedure for obtaining (or granting) administrative independence of a particular church unit is not written out in Orthodox canons.
