Summary: | Thermal ablation ranks along with surgical resection and liver transplantation as a major radical treatment for liver tumor, and more and more attention has been paid to its efficacy and minimal invasiveness. However, the majority of Chinese patients who need ablation treatment have poor liver function, so the treatment is challenging, with a high recurrence rate. That has a negative impact on the efficacy and application of this technique. The principle and strategy of standardized image-guided thermal ablation in the treatment of liver tumor were briefly reviewed, with the aim of improving the efficacy and safety of this technique. |
