Summary: | Research performance six rice genotypes and three checks on four level of
plant density conducted at Wironanggan, Gatak, Sukoharjo 115 m above sea level,
Regosol soil type, November 2010 to March 2011.Experiment design split plot three
replications. Main plot six F1 rice, i.e. Y-Super 101, Y-Super 202, Y1-1, H Basmatic-
1, Y1-6, Y1-7, three checks: Hibrindo R1, Intani 2, Ciherang. Subplot was four plant
population density: 160,000; 250,000; 213,300; 256,000 plant per ha or spacing
25cm x 25cm; 20cm x 20cm; legowo 2:1 with spacing 25cm x 12,5cm x 50cm, and
legowo 4:1 with spacing 25cm x 12,5cm x 50cm. Seedling with 17 days age planted
in four level plant population density with one seedling per hill, in plot size 4m x 5m.
Result: highest yield 8.35; 8.04, 7.96 t per ha obtained by Y-Super 101, Y-Super 202,
Y1-7, on population density 256,000; 250,000; 213,300 plant per ha. Panicle number
per hill for above three F1 rice mentioned 17.72; 17.05, 16.54. Plant population
density 256,000; 250,000, 213,300 per ha for Y-Super 101, Y-Super 202, Y1-7 gave
higher number filled grain and longer panicle length compared with density of
213.300 per ha. Earliest maturity obtained by Y1-1, Y1-6, Intani 2 at 160,000;
250,000; 256,000 population density, of 105.2; 104.7; 106.8 days. Total grain per
panicle and 1000-grain weight did not influence by plant population density.
