Description
Summary:Medical management along with stellate ganglion block is frequently given to prevent the vasculitis of fingers in patients of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Bilateral stellate ganglion block is rarely given due to the concern of phrenic and recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy. In this article, we describe the management of a recently diagnosed SLE patient presented with progressive gangrene of fingers of both upper limbs. Meticulously planned serial bilateral ultrasound-guided stellate ganglion blocks were successfully given to prevent impending loss of digits with no complications.
