Participants of this study consisted of 8 pre-service classroom teachers (2 frehmen, 2 sophomores, 2 juniors, and 2 seniors) studying in the 2011-12 academic year in the Department of Primary Education, Faculty of Education, Afyon Kocatepe University, Afyonkarahisar, Turkey. A semi-structured interview schedule comprising 6 open-ended questions was used to collect the data which were then content analyzed. Findings were discussed under the following themes: (1) characteristics teacher educators have already had, (2) characteristics teacher educators are expected to have, (3) teacher educators’ ways of communication, (4) teacher educators in teaching-learning processes, (5) evaluation of teacher educators, and (6) problems and solutions provided.http://keg.aku.edu.tr/index.php/anasayfa/article/view/255-service classroom teacherteacher educatorclassroom teacher training
