Description
Summary:During the first phase of democratic transition in Argentine, the political developments have beenmuch more relevant than the economic relations with the EC.Indeed, the two main objectives of the Radical Government in its relations with the Communitarian countries -trade opportunities and a more positive European position on the foreign debt issue- were soon frustrated when it was clear that the European rethorics did not translate in effective economic support. The present economic stability in Argentine and the conclusion of the General Agreement on Cooperation between the EC and Argentine open bright perspectives to intensify cooperation in different areas.
