Description
Summary:This review aims to gather theoretical and empirical knowledge about concepts and evidences of the relationship between causal attribution, emotional valence and stress, and it also seeks to assemble proposals for interpretation of the relationships between these constructs and health. Therefore, we performed a narrative review, non-systematic, on November 2011, in the databases of Web of Science, Scielo and Pepsic. In the end, there are studies that confirm the impacts of the locus of control, the positive and negative emotions in the adaptive process, and we have also highlighted conceptual aspects and empirical findings that explain the relationship between stress and health.
