| Summary: | This research aims to understand the role of the elderly and the job done by them in the Peace Committee of Bairro da Penha, while developers of a new culture, the Culture of Peace. The objective is to evaluate the contribution of elderly in building the Culture of Peace and how this new culture is impacting on their lives. In this study, the method used was qualitative research, descriptive case study. Data collection was conducted through analysis of reports and minutes, and also used observation. The Assistant Social of the Committee was interviewed using a semi-structured screenplay composed by open and closed questions, prioritizing a qualitative analysis of the data obtained. |
