| Summary: | Extreme tourism is a rapidly developing sphere in tourism. Its aim is sports development, outdoor activities,
camping. Extreme tourism includes a lot of extreme sports, all of its attendant risks. However, there are problems
in the development of this new direction, the solution of which will benefit the development of tourism
as a whole. Purpose of the study. Search for answers to the following questions: Why does extreme tourism
develop and strengthen so fast; How are extreme tourism and extreme sport linked; Types of extreme tourism
and their peculiarities. At the moment extreme tourism in Russia is not so strongly developed as, for example,
in America or Europe. In spite of the fact that Russia is one of the largest countries in the world, with
the biggest resources for the development of tourist activity, the industry faces organizational, financial and
other problems.
