Les SIC à l’épreuve du digital et des Humanités : des origines, des concepts, des méthodes et des outils

This paper examines several tracks that explain the positioning of the french disciplinary field of information science and communication studies in connection with the digital humanities. We show that its role is both to understand (theoretical approach) and undertake (practical approach), observe (descriptive approach) but also created (pragmatic) with instruments of knowledge. The time of digital humanities implies a position that cannot be limited to the study of uses but requires a renewed strategy to produce recommendations for the creation of new instruments and devices. We present a proposal or a policy program for information science and communication studies into three parts: replace information science and communication studies in the multidisciplinary perspective of its root ; put its ideas into the orbit of a new critical and Data Environment ; energise the commitment of R&D equipping the humanities for the digital turn.
