Description
Summary:The mobile system described in this paper integrates a commercial eye-safe lidar (CIMEL), a sunphotometer and in situ instruments. The system is distinguished by other transportable platforms through its capabilities to perform onroad measurements. The potential of a commercial lidar to provide reliable information on aerosol properties is investigated through comparison with a multi-wavelength Raman lidar. First results from observation campaigns in northern France are presented.
