Description
Summary:Chronic non malignant pain is always a therapeutic challenge of great significance because a inappropriate and insufficient treatment is able to reduce the life’s quality of the patients. Many therapeutic strategies were used to solve these issues, no one exhaustive. In the treatment of cancer pain, opiates use is common, is not the same for the chronic non-malignant pain. The fear of possible side effects (addiction, tolerance, respiratory depression) restrain the therapist to apply this remedy. The aim of our work is to demonstrate how a correct application of the opiates in patients with chronic benign pain is not only possible but also desirable to relieving the pain and improving the quality of life.
