Summary: | Analysis of dσ/dt of the TOTEM Collaboration data, carried out without model assumptions, showed the existence of a new effect in the behavior of the hadron scattering amplitude at a small momentum transfer at a high confidence level. A quantitative description of the data in the framework of the HEGS model supports the existence of such phenomenon which can be connected with quark potentials at large distances.
