Description
Summary:In order to verify the feasibility of using microwave to study Yellow River ice, the reflected power of pure ice and mixed ice is measured by electromagnetic waves of different polarisations and frequencies in the microwave chamber. The measured data of microwave chamber measurement was processed to obtain radar cross section values. Based on the experiments in the microwave chamber, this study presents a reflection model for calculating the reflection of pure ice. The calculated value obtained by the model is consistent with the measured values, which also proves the validity of the model. The results of this study will provide some basis for the follow-up study of retrieval Yellow River ice thickness.
