The formation of almost cylindric photosynthetic elements of these species originates on different morphological bases. The bifacial leaf phylloids of K. tubiflora are analogous to linear bifacial and equifacial leaves of K. beauverdii. The nonstandard inverting development of specialized photosynthetic mesophill is observed in anatomical structure of leaf for these species.
