Summary: | As a result of climate change there is an increase in the number of the areas affected by drought and intensity of the drought. The effect of the drought is the insufficient rate of renewing groundwater resources. The consequence of this phenomenon is reduction groundwater inflow and decrease discharge of springs. Assess the effects of climate change, in the context of the availability of groundwater resources, it is necessary to describe the relationship between meteorological and hydrological conditions. This paper describe the relations between discharge of the springs in south-western Poland and periodic precipitation deficit. There were calculated correlation coefficients between discharge and SPI index in different time scales. The highest level of the reaction was found between discharge and precipitation deficit in 6-month accumulation period (SPI-6). |
