Summary: | Dissociative symptoms at times amounting to disorders are common and are culturally accepted in many Asian cultures but presenting not often to the psychiatric facility for management. This case report is to discuss about problems in evaluation of new symptoms during the course and difficulties in different management strategies. This is a case report of a female patient presenting with dissociative paraplegia for more than 8 months duration with resistance and substitution of symptoms during the process of management. |
