Study of the physical development of Gujarat girls and comparative analysis of the data obtained with the anthropometric characteristics of young people and other ethno-territorial groups. Materials and methods. The study targeted 105 Indian girls of the Gujarat ethnic group aged 17–20. The anthropometric survey was conducted according to the V.V. Bunak methodology using a set of standard anthropometric instruments. The study examined absolute anthropometric indicators, analyzed the profile of physical development by calculating indices. Results. The study found that the average height of Indian girls was 156,83 ± 0,59 cm, body weight – 53,37 ± 1,09 cm, shoulder width – 34,30 ± 0,19 cm, chest width – 23,03 ± 0,18 cm, pelvis width – 26,40 ± 0,22cm, chest circumference – 79,96 ± 0,54 cm. Conclusions. Girls of the Gujarat ethnic group had lower absolute anthropometric scores than the Penza and Krasnodar groups. However, somatotyping revealed a similar pattern: most girls in all groups had asthenic body type, narrow chest, and normal body mass. When the Sex Dimorphism Index was interpreted, it was found that Indian girls and Krasnodar girls were mostly characterized by mesomorphism, while the Penza girls were defined as the corresponding sex.anthropometryindiansbody typephysical developmentyoung gujrat people
