| Summary: | This article investigates the coordination modes on electronic mailing lists showing that a thread can be identified as a replies network extending from the dynamics of the interaction process. The observation over a period of ten years and analysis of twenty years of archives of the mailing lists of a free software project allow analysing the phenomenon at both local interactions that over a long term period. Analysis of the interaction process not only permit to view coordination’s process that we did not see before but especially to understand the generative process of developing knowledge from alignments between contributors. |
