Description
Summary:Carboniferous of the Veporicum development rims northern margin of the crystalline suite of the Sľubica massif in the Branisko Mts. Discontinuous belt of Carboniferous rocks strikes E-W and is distinctly segmented by N-S and NE-SW normal faults. Synclinal structures with occurences of Carboniferous rocks are divided by a fan - like thrusts into a string of refolded scales. Folding, as well a thrusting tectonics, strike gene-rally in the E-W direction, and dip to the south. The development of predominantly dynamometamorphosed detrital strata composed of conglomerates, sandstones and shales, paleontologically no dated, is analogically with other occurences in the Čierna hory Mts. incorporated to the Upper Carboniferous envelope sequence.
