Description
Summary:Sustainable alternative constituents to cement are required to reduce its detrimental impact on the environment. This studymainly focuses on the alternative materials to cement which are all derived as by-products from steel/iron and MgO manufacturingindustry. These alternative materials have been popularised in the last few years for their effective usage in the environmentalapplications. Furnace steel slag, low grade MgO and pulverised fly ash are the materials proposed as cement replacement. Theresults of this study will be used to demonstrate the characteristics of alternative materials by means of both physical and chemical.
