Summary:Among 1245 patients with diabetes mellitus type 1 (children, adolescents and adults) by testing with the use of a questionnaire and determination of glycated hemoglobin we carried out evaluation of training conducted by coaches trained by new structured program. It is found that by the number of correct answers, the countrywide efficacy was satisfactory. The best effect is achieved among children and adolescents. The correlation between the level of knowledge and an indicator of glycated hemoglobin was revealed. The higher the level of knowledge, the lower — indicator of glycated hemoglobin.
