Description
Summary:The focus of this paper is Angiolini’s poetic of «danza parlante» as it appears from notices in Italian ballets librettos. These documents allow us to realize how ideas and concepts exposed in Angiolini’s theoretical essays shape his ballets on the scene or, put it differently, how they find a practical application. Discovering how these sources are related to the more properly Angiolini’s Viennese and Italian theoretical writings enables us to broaden and to enrich his poetic vision, offering a more complete picture of the choreographer’s activity.
