Summary: | Job insecurity can be understood as a lack of protection, insecurity or instability at work: youth and women are among the groups that suffer some kind of instability and / or employment discrimination. The worse employment conditions determine the increase of the poverty. The proportion of Galician people that lived under the poverty line was reduced in the last decades, this proportion are increasing from 2008. The situation gets worse in 2012 than in previous years. We study income provided by the Survey of Living Conditions by Galician Statistics Institute (IGE). The income variable is used to define the poverty concept. We analyse the intensity of regular income disaggregated by age from 2007 to 2010. We make a correspondence analysis to show an association among the youth "between 18 and 24 years old" and the category "without any regular household income”; in this model the inertia is greater in last years. This fact is an indicator which explain that income is one of the economic variables that have an immediate affecta- tion, with more virulent in the most vulnerable groups during the economic crisis.
