P. Belinskaya0I. D. Bronin1Lomonosov Moscow State UniversityRussian Academy of EducationThe paper discusses the background and development of modern concepts of interpersonal perception that influenced the practice of empirical studies of the accuracy of interpersonal perception. From this perspective, the paper analyzes the content of such approaches as the social relations model (D. Kenny), the social accuracy model (J. Biesanz), the theory of pragmatic accuracy (W. Swann), calibration hypothesis (E. Tenney) and the theory of realistic accuracy (D. Funder). It is noted that the general principle underlying the data concepts was the increased attention to contextual characteristics of different levels of generality of the process of interpersonal perception, which have a significant impact on its accuracy. In conclusion, the authors state that, despite the accumulated mass of empirical data, the problem of accuracy of interpersonal perception is far from being resolved, and outline the possible future lines of its theoretical and empirical analysis.https://vestnik.kemsu.ru/jour/article/view/414social perception, accuracy of interpersonal perception, consistency of estimates |
