Description
Summary:This article sets out the changes or points to escape the traditional and prevailed model of femininity in Spain during the twentieth century. Since the new woman emerged from the Belle Epoque, to Phalangists during the Dictatorship, we approach the image and the discourse of difference put forward by Phalangists to accommodate the wings of power. Since its origins, the Women’s Section hierarchies rode between the modernity of the European fascists and conservatism of the Catholic Spain, which won the battle of the «reaction». Gender relations on Francoism undervalued the role of women within and outside the home. Phalangists failed to mobilize with his speech rather than an elite, who made a delivery to the party a life model. A women’s state exclusive and undemocratic, which, isolated from abusing their comrades men, they impose their difference to other women as an empowerment.
