Summary:The work titled “Malombra” of Antonio Fogazzora, one of the most famous writers of the Romantic Italian literature is well known in the Western Literature. Even though “Malombra” doesn’t have a pefect structure like other similar Works, it occupies a very important place thanks to traces regarding the youth period and caracter analysis. Marina, the primordial caracter of the work, fells in to mistique thoughts because of the spiritual fragmantation and shows the effects in her life. “Malombra” can be considered the Pioneer of the Decadentism and Sybolism in Europe.
