The medial tendon is attached to the pubic symphysis. The fleshy fibers of rectus abdominis replaced by aponeurosis below the umbilicus was found during the routine dissections of a middle aged female cadaver at Dr. Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Medical College, Chinnavutapalli, Andhra Pradesh, India.
