The middle-range theory of unpleasant symptoms, has been useful in theemergency room to develop a rating scale of symptoms for heart patients, knowing thatpain is the symptom that brings patients with cardiovascular disease to the emergencyroom. RESUMEN:Partiendo del análisis del origen del conocimiento en enfermería, se derivan diversasformas de interpretar el conocimiento de cuidado ofrecido al paciente en los diferentesescenarios. Existen patrones de conocimiento en enfermería que se constituyen enfundamentos ontológicos y epistemológicos de la disciplina y el abordaje teóricoque orienta al análisis de situaciones reales. La teoría de rango medio de síntomasdesagradables, ha sido útil en el servicio de urgencias para desarrollar una escalade valoración de los síntomas para pacientes cardíacos, conociendo que el dolor esel síntoma que trae a los pacientes con enfermedad cardiovascular, al servicio deurgencias.http://www.revistacienciasbiomedicas.com/index.php/revciencbiomed/article/view/189/154KnowledgeCareNursingCardiovascular Disease.
