Description
Summary:The increase of natural resources usage began from the consumption developed during Industrial Revolution and brought irreversible environmental impacts that, after the 60's and 70's, became relevant to manshood's attention. After the 90's, business, governmental and non-governmental initiatives stood out on the search of a better relationship between men and the environment. Considering these facts, the concepts of Environmental Management and Cleaner Production become more important. Aiming to brighten the view on how these processes happen inside organizations, this research has been based on the Marine Shrimp Laboratory of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. The results achieved show the importance of disseminating knowledge about the processes inside organizations, and indicated the responsibility that the University has on the environmental management of the laboratory.
