Methods: In this methodological type of study, the sample is composed of 607 pregnant women who consulted to maternity clinic of a university hospital and agreed to participate in the study. PSRS has 36 items in total. Following the evaluation of language adaptation and examination of content validity of the scale, data was collected through ‘Introduction Form for Pregnants’ and PSRS. Interprofessional compliance validation is made for content validity index. Explanatory factor analysis was performed for construct validity. In the reliability study, item-total scale analysis, Cronbach's alpha coefficient determination and test-half analysis were performed. Item-total scale analysis, Cronbach alpha coefficient determination and test-half analysis were performed in the reliability study. Results: It was seen that inter-rater reliability was achieved for the items included in the scale. Explanatory factor analysis was carried out for construct validity; and factor loads of all items were found between 0.409 and 0.784. In terms of internal consistency analysis of the scale, Cronbach alpha was seen to be highly reliable with 0.94 coefficient value. Split-half reliability test was also applied to the scale; and Spearman Brown and Guttman coefficients were found to be 0.88 and 0.85 respectively. Conclusion: Validity and reliability of Turkish form of PSRS, originally developed in English by Chen, was found to be high in our study. It is recommended that the scale be utilized in evaluating stress levels of the pregnants in our society.http://dergipark.org.tr/kusbed/issue/42079/467716?publisher=kocaeliGebelikgüvenilirlilik ve geçerlilikstresPregnancyreliability and validitystress |
