Summary:The basic tool that diagnoses the Competitive Advantage and discovers the means to improve it is the Value Chain, which presents Value Activities: primary and support activities. The general objective of the research is to analyze the Competitive Advantage of the Private Dental Services in Asunción and cities of the Central Department, year 2017. The methodology of the research is a quantitative approach with a non-experimental design of cross-section and descriptive level. The unit of analysis was presented in dentists who provide services in the private sector in Asunción and cities of the Central Department, the type of sampling was probabilistic and composed of 320 dentists. In the technique of data collection the survey is shown with a semi-structured questionnaire whose data processing was done through the form of Google. Inc. The main conclusions were: Regarding the activities of the value chain, it is observed that dentists consider more important in: Operations quality (51% who claimed their attention), 21% to the Human Resources quality, 13% to Technological Development, 8% to Marketing and Sales and only 6% to the After-Sales Service. In order to obtain a competitive advantage, it is essential that the Dental Service take into account the concatenated development of the value activities, for the creation of a differentiation strategy.
