Through the methodology of the life history and the focus group, we sought to understand the life trajectory of peasant youth, especially the young women, and the gender relations they establish in the context of family work. It argues that gender and generation hierarchies, supported by patriarchal gender regimes, are questioned and / or subverted by the rural youth when they have access to schooling, understanding gender inequalities, and participate in social movements (for land, youth, women) that allow the construction of new practices and discourses, re-signifying the social place of the young peasant.http://www.uel.br/revistas/uel/index.php/mediacoes/article/view/32738jovem camponesatrabalhogênerogeração.
